Pamela hit the proverbial nail. It was fun to hear what other thoughts people had. To me, it just looked like what it is - acini de pepe, but I can see all the other ideas now.
I also haven't heard of pastina, but I suspect it is something similar.
very interesting picture! At first I thought it was couscous but then I thought it was the little things in Italian Wedding soup (never knew what those things were called). Thanks for the lesson for today!
Looks like it's corn to me. Happy WW! Oh by the way i just got back from one month away of participating the WW so these are my entries now. A Dozen Pupppies Beautiful Sunset

Welcome to the insanity that is my life. I spend much of it meandering on bunny trails. Fortunately, I have my GPS - God's Positioning System - to bring me back home.

How 'bout: fish eggs?
Capers? Lemon drops? They look familiar, whatever they are...
Fun...can't wait to find out for sure!
My first response was corn.
Maybe pearl beads.
acini de pepe?
My first thought was grapes, but now I can see that's not right. I'm voting for some kind of fish eggs also.
My WW post for this week is up.

Interesting. I thought of caviar and corn too. Could it be soybeans?
