Tales From the Scales - Week #8

No loss, but no gain either. Slow & steady wins the race, right? If you're a tortoise, anyway.

Hopefully with the sodalessness of my week, increased water (it's too hot here for me), and getting to Curves regularly, I'll see a nice drop next week. Until then, here's a quote from the board at Curves this a.m. that sums it up nicely.

"Eating healthy isn't about being perfect all the time. It's about eating your best most of the time."

Thanks for stopping by today. Sounds like we're in the same boat. ;-) I'm sure we'll see a change on those scales soon!

I love your tortoise picture. It reminds me of me!
They say slow and steady DOES win the race - so hopefully we will be crossing the finish line together someday!

Yep, that quote is sooo true. It doesn't mean we can never have a treat. Just keep making healthy choices (MOST of the time!) ;-) Path to Health

Thanks, everyone! I suspect next week that number will drop with the lack of DP in my life! I'm sure hoping that it has a positive effect. :D

Awesome on fasting sodas! I quit them several weeks back- it was hard but totally worth it. I didn't drop when I initially quit either- disappointing- but it does eventually catch up and will make a difference. Keep it up! Slow and steady DOES win the race.

Thanks, Jen! I quit drinking soda (at home anyway) a number of years ago and dropped some weight within the first month or so. Sadly, I acquired the habit of buying soda for home. Oops :(
