I was sitting in a booth in the snack bar while the kids were skating. It's all plexiglass between the booths and the rink. The lights were dimmed on the rink. This caused the plexiglass to reflect the snack bar and other lights, yet the kids and the rink showed through. I took them all without flash (for obvious reasons) and had no idea they would come out looking ghostly! It was a cool, yet unexpected result.
As for the last picture, that's my extremely flexibly 13 year old showing how low he can get on his skates. If only he would get out there for limbo, he'd probably win!
What fun pictures, not your usual, boring skate around the rink pics! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving comments. Yes we have much in common with both of us having 12 yo boys! It's a interesting age isn't it? But I must say I am enjoying it!

Welcome to the insanity that is my life. I spend much of it meandering on bunny trails. Fortunately, I have my GPS - God's Positioning System - to bring me back home.

It took me a few moments to realize the first two pictures had reflections! For a minute there, I thought the kids were ghosts! LOL
Those first two pictures are cool! What happened to the kid in the last picture? Did he skate too long?

I too thought the children were ghosts! That is a pretty cool photo, either way!
