Tales From the Scales - Week #3

I've dropped the 1/2 pound gain from last week - yeah! My biggest challenge is backing off the Dr. Pepper that I'm so incredibly addicted to. But with sleep issues the past week, the less caffeine, the better. No, that doesn't mean I'll give up my morning chai, but that's a LONG ways from bedtime, so I'm not too worried about that. The good thing about limiting the DP is that I'll drink more water (usually) which is always a big help.

So the total now is down 2 1/2 pounds. :D

Congratulations! I wrote a blog post about what they put in pop, if you read it, more than likely it would startle you. I thought it would be just somethings that are bad about pop, but there was a lot that took me by surprise. Did you know that the coloration comes from coal tar?

Jan - no I didn't really know all that, but even after reading the article, I LOVE Dr Pepper - too much! So my goal at this point is to keep it well under control, balanced with LOTS of water.

Yeah, get rid of that soda and go for water! ;-) Sometimes we can have a treat. Mine is a latte from Starbucks (decaf and nonfat, but still a treat! I can't do caffeine.)
