Will said...: I have a big one of these also. It lives out on the porch in the summer and comes into the living room for the winter. Mine has some brown tips also. I was once told to let the water sit for a couple of days first and that would avoid the browning, but it does not seem to help. I recently heard to use distilled water to leach the soil of salts and then to use distilled or rain water to water them. I guess I'll try that.; 3/2/11, 10:00 AM
