Thanks! It's one of my favorites - such a sweet shot of him. :D
Gabriel - The technique is really easy. In PS Elements, I created a duplicate layer of my photo. Change the top layer to B&W. Use the eraser tool to remove the part that from the top layer that you want the color to show through on.
I saw it in a mag where a little girl had a Dora the Explorer backback and that was in pink with the rest of the photo in B&W. Hope that makes sense. If not, email me and I can explain further - bunny dot trails at yahoo dot com.
The facial expression says it all. I also really like the smiley on the ball cap. I like how everything contrasts so well with all but the hat being in black and white.
That is indeed a yellow hat! I like the editing work you've done here. The hat reminds me of the scene in Forrest Gump when he inadvertently creates the famous happy face t-shirt and says "Have a nice day."
Comments are good Comments are fun Make my day Come on, leave me one.
p.s. - If you ask me a question, please, oh please, leave me your email. Otherwise I can't give you an answer, which makes me feel like I'm ignoring you, and then I feel very bad.
that's pretty easy on the eyes! (not to bring up eyes again...)
