    Well, it sort of looks like a block of cheddar cheese that was halfway run through the grater. But you never can tell about these things. :)

    Soap? I don't think you ran a grater over it though because there are no furrows. Is it tallow for making soap? Dunno... I hope you let us know because I'm really curious now!
