Tales From the Scales - Week #7

Yes, I missed last week. Only because I thought I needed new batteries in my scales. Turns out that wasn't the problem. About half of each digit is just not showing any more. Phooey! I am, however, still able to figure out my weight. While nothing monumental, I'm down another 1/2 pound.

That's okay, though. I didn't add all this baggage overnight and it won't come off overnight either. At least it's a step in the right direction!

On a happy note, I'm getting much more water in, eating more fruit & veggies, and had NO DR PEPPER yesterday. Just one today. That's HUGE for me! So I'll just keep on plugging away.

Congrats on losing and on giving up the Dr. P for a day. That can be HUGE in the weight battle. :-)

Congratulations on the no Dr. Pepper and the half pound! I am so pleased! You're right, it takes some time to see a difference, but you are on the right track.

Thanks so much! It's pretty big when I manage to go an entire day without the old DP. It's probably my worst addiction ever! I'd give up all kinds of stuff before that.

It helps that it's so warm out - I'm more inclined to drink water. So summer's a little easier for me.

Good for you! My husband lost 17 lbs just switching from regular Mt. Dew to diet Mt. Dew. He didn't do anything else different. Small steps make a difference.

Thanks, Gina! When I left my job in corporate America to stay home with my boys, I stopped drinking soda altogether and lost 5 pounds in the first month or so. Back in those days, I almost never brought soda home. I'm not sure when that changed, but it wasn't a change for the better! :\

Wow! No D.P. is pretty amazing for you to do! And you didn't even seem cranky yesterday! I'm impressed. Congratulations on the weight loss.
